Here's what I have on Granville Hundley -- it's pretty thin, mostly because he served such a short time. He has no compiled service record in the National Archives, but there are a few cards for him, under various name spellings (see below the [42Va: 337] references), in the Archives' Unfiled Slips Pertaining to Confederate Soldiers. Is there anything more you can tell me about him? What source do you have for his middle name?

HUNDLEY, GRANVILLE MADISON: Pvt., Co. F. 1860 cen., age 36, farmer, Ridgeway P.O., Henry County. Enl. 3/17/62, Henry County. Sent sick from unit to Staunton where he died, measles or typhoid fever, 6/8 or 9/62. Buried under name of Granville Hurley, Thorn Rose Cem., Staunton.

One daughter was living with an older brother and his family in the Irisburg district of Henry County. One son was living with a family in Franklin County, VA. Another daughter is apparently absent on the 1870 census but does show up again on the 1880 census married with her own family.” [42Va: 310]
