I can answer your question.

I am a great, great grandson of Charles Jones Ziglar and Martha Minter Ziglar and grew up near, and spent much time on weekends and Summers in Rocky Head on the ancestral land. My grandmother Brown was a Ziglar grandaughter and knew Mr. Charley and Martha well.

In 1858 or so Charles Jones Ziglar(named after his mother's father, Charles Jones) and his wife Martha Minter moved from Henry County, Va, where they had both been raised to Dale County, Alabama. Pioneers. When the war brpke out he returned to his old home in Henry County to fight with his cousins and childhood friends. A very common occurrence. I believe he enlisted at Ridgeway which is in Henry County, Va. near the North Carolina line. Interestingly, in 1862 or 1863 he tranferred to an Alabama regiment, I think the 44th Ala. (not sure--going from poor memory here) which surprisingly was commanded by a fellow Virginian cum Alabamian, his double brother in law, James A. Minter (Martha's brother and his own sister's husband).

There is a fine website on the Minter family of Henry County, Va. which has a modest article I prepared on the Ziglar/Minters of Alabama and contains a late in life photo of Charles and Martha Ziglar. Just type in Silas Minter and Henry county into your browser and you should find it. By the way, Martha had a sister who maried another Ziglar brother too. I guess the families were close.
