Re: Burials from Gen.Hospital #11

Hi All, My computer also 'crashed' and I lost most of my old emails. In early 2011 I contacted the Oakwood Restoration Committee via email about my ancester, James F. Durvin who was in the third Company H, 47th Virginia Infantry. He died of typhoid fever on May 19, 1862 and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery. I received a reply saying that he was lsited as 'James F. Dervin', but the records were very poor and they did not know the exact location of his grave. They said that their primary researcher would correct his name if I sent documentation showing his correct name. I did email some documentation, but I don't have any email record of what I sent and whether it was sufficient. I would like to know if you have any better idea of the location of his grave and if there is anyone I can send documentation to in order to 'correct' his name in the planned book on the list of Confederate soldiers buried at Oakwood? I would appreciate it if someone would contact me at my email address below so that I may send copies of documents. Thanks in advance, Bill Durvin durvin2@verizon.net (P.S. I did put a memorial on find-a-grave with the correct name)
