The Janney Furnace is located just down from Ohatchee, and is marked on the Alabama gazetteer. I visited the site recently, and it is fenced off as a county park/conservation area. The wooden fence was locked, as it appeared some recent archeological work had been accomplished. The furnace was in very good condition and appeared completely intact. It was visible from the road. I can provide good driving directions if you do not have access to the Alabama gazetteer.
