Re: Military Actions in Lauderdale County

I'm researching the life and military service of Lt. James Jackson Andrews of Roddey's Cavalry. His military service record reports that he was captured in Florence by the Ninth Illinois Cavalry. On one report, the date listed is November 30, 1863. Another report dates his capture as Dec. 1, 1863.

This posting mentions only a Dec. 1, 1863, incident. Can anyone provide details on this incident, and tell me if their was any action at all on the 30th of November?

Thanks,
Ron
