Recently, Alan Pitts made us aware of a database he had compiled of Alabama Confederate officers who died while in service. Alan has sent me the file and I've made it available at the link shown at the top of Message Index page.

I hope to put this information into an interactive database where we can add, edit or comment on this list of men. In the meantime, if you have additional information, please place it as a response to this message and I will add it to the new webpage and ultimately include it in a database.
