I agree. I took a quick look at my roster for the company (compiled from NARA service records and wartime muster rolls) and found that at least two from the company that were wounded at Ezra Church. I'm interested in this letter as it is a primary source document. I think the area around County Line Cemetery was in Tallapoosa County up until 1866. Just a personal observation, but over the years I've run across a few Tallapoosa County soldiers who were killed or died in the last half of the war, especially in the Western Theatre, who don't have official records that survived. Their compiled service records just seem to abruptly end at a certain date. And that's not all that surprising considering what was going on. Letters such as this, and well documented family histories, are sometimes all there is to tell the tale.
