Ferrell for the war, admitted Chimborazo Hospital, Richmond, Va., January 6, 1862, Catarrh, returned to duty February 5, paroled at Appomattox Court House, Virginia April 9, 1865, his file contains correspondence between the Adjutant General, War Department reflecting his service data, with Mrs. S. T. Pruett, Box 72, Midway, Alabama dated 29 June 1953
