Van. Could this be William Henry Tolar born 1831 Oakvale,Mississippi. In 1860 Jackson Parish,La. Enlisted Co.K, Richard Taylor's 9th. La.Infantry March 1st,1862. Captured Huntsville,Alabama on the train to the Louisiana Brigade in Virginia April 11,1862. Died Camp Chase July 20,1862. My grandfather Giles Wilson also from Jackson Parish same Co and Regiment also captured that day.

Unfortunately I do not know the circumstances of his death. Perhaps it is in his service record. My uncle Wesley Oxford married William's widow Mary Stringer. They had five children.
