John Harlow,

His pension application states he enlisted at Troy, Alabama, Pike County, September 1863 in Company I, 22nd Alabama Infantry, Dey's Brigade. Severely wounded December 24, 1864 at the Battle of Nashville, Tenn., right arm at the elbow joint. Subsequently hospitilized at Columbus, Ga. where he was captured at the end of the war. His service was authenticated by Joseph Griffin who stated he served in the same company.

Joseph Griffin, Private, Company A, 22nd Alabama Infantry, enlisted October 3, 1861 at Montgomery, Ala. by Capt. Love for the duration of the war, his name appears on a list of men paroled at Greensboro, North Carolina, May 1, 1865, presence not stated, no other records

John Harrell, Private, Company I, 22nd Alabama Infantry, received on October 6, 1863 at Montgomery, Ga. $9.90 for commutation of rations while on sick furlough from Oct. 6 to Nov. 4, 30 days @ 33 cts., no other records

Note, there appear to be no muster rolls extant for the regiment
