Re: Wrong John Harlow
In Response To: Re: Wrong John Harlow ()

Not a lot of help, Allen, but thanks for your input. John Harlow's pension application states that he "enlisted" in Co. I, 22nd Ala. Inf. at Troy, Pike County, Alabama in Sept. 1863. There seems to be no way of verifying the accuracy of this statement, absent any muster rolls for the 22nd. The only card in "John Harrell's" file says that he was on medical leave during Oct of 1863. So he would have been active before Dec. But, weather or not John Harrell is a misspelling or a transcription error for John Harlow, who knows. I would just like to be able to fill in as many of the blanks as possible. And I may have already done that. If you can think of any alternative sources that might shed a little light, I'd sure be thankful. Thanks again,
Paul Maloney
