If, I am correct this is taking place in the spring and summer of 1863. The division on the move of 10,000 men would have been Maj Gen John G. Walkers Texas Division which left Pine Bluff, Arkansas for Louisiana on April 28th, 1863. and made the attack at Millenkins Bend, La.

The second Division is somewhat in question. Beauregard and Johnston were continually requesting the Transfer of a division of Infantry from the Trans Mississippi Commander to the east for quite some time. In fact at one time the Garrison at Arkansas Post, specifically Col Robert Garland Brigade of Texas (6th Tex Inf. 24th and 25th Texas Cav dis) along with 4 other Texas regiments to be raise were assigned for this Transfer. But this came to an end when Garland's Brigade was captured at Arkansas Post, January 11th 1863.

It is quite probable that Gen Daniel Frost Missouri Brigade (8th and Clark's 9th Missouri Infantry and Hardy's Ark Inf.) along with Parson Inf. were those being considered for this extra divison. However there had been a big uproar when Paaron's Missouri Boys had been transferred east of the Mississippi with Van Dorns Command earlier that cause Parson's command to be return to the west side of the Mississippi in the first place.
