Perhaps, but one would have to assume that Confederate field commanders knew at least this much.

Aggregate present for Carter Stevenson's Division on Apr. 1, 1863, was reported as 13,257 officers and men. The division included 19 regiments, four batteries and one company of cavalry. See Official Records, series I, vol. XXIV:3, pp. 702-03.
