I have a similar problem, in that I don't know when to stop researching and start writing. I guess my great Arkansas Civil War history book will never be written. I simply have too much material to wade through now.

Doyle, I hope you will do something to preserve your vast and unique knowledge of the Civil War in the Lower Arkansas River Valley for future generations -- donate your files to a public archives, or something -- when you leave this mortal coil. I've left instructions to have all my Civil War stuff given to the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies. I pity the poor guy who's going to have to sort it all out.

For the time being, I'm content to share it with this board.
