Firearms of the 2nd Colorado Cavalry

Message Board,

I am reading about the problems troopers of the 2nd Colorado Cavalry had with their carbines and revolvers fighting against guerrillas in west-central Missouri during spring and summer 1864. What brand and type of firearms were these, and with what were they replaced? I need this information for both the carbines and revolvers. I also need a source or two for this information that I may cite. Thanks for any help you can provide. I have also placed this query in the "Missouri in the Civil War Message Board" and am curious to see which forum can get the answers out the fastest.

Happy Independence Day!
