I stand corrected on the weight issue, I've found two "official" weights, 2# 12 oz and 2# 14 oz., neither specified loaded or unloaded which could easily account for the 2 oz difference. The heavier weight came from a 19th century user reference that called it considerably heavier than the Colt Walker .44 which is well over 4 pounds. Both the Starr and the Walker were apparently muzzle heavy and the double action Starr apparently had accuracy issues which is all relative given the inherent inaccuracy of cap and ball handguns of the era.
