I have another question, Captain Burr (17th Connecticut Infantry Regiment) reported that he captured a flag from Hay's men. "The Color-Bearer was twice my size". I think the 6th Louisiana would have been in that area (posted on Hay's far left flank (If in Hay's brigade).
If anyone knows of a "Large Color-Bearer" with the 6th LA or 5th LA, that is our flag captured. I lean more towards the 6th LA on this one.
