Sear's Brigade consisted of the 4th Miss. (Mobile Depot in the Capitol Museum in Jackson, MS), the 35th Miss (Mobile Depot held captive in Michigan or remnants anyway) 36th Miss. (whereabouts unknown) 39th Miss (Mobile Depot held captive in Michigan [portraits of the 35th & 39th MS flags are available for purchase from the MHS. I have one of the 39th]) the 46th Miss, and the 7th Miss Batt. (whereabouts unknown). There is a Mobile depot in the MOC identified only as coming from "Sear's Brigade, unit unknown, captured at Richland Creek near Nashville". Process of elimination indicates that it belongs to either the 36th or 7th MS. Yes, the other units carried Mobile depot flags, however, in my other post, I included examples of lack of consistancy in other brigades in the Western theater. By that point in the war, regiments were probably doing good not to have to use someone's dirty drawers for flags.
