Its like you, Ken & Charles are trying to feed me a bowl of gruel, it was a simple question, I’m just looking for your evidence that this flag was made by the Charleston Depot as you claim. The 46th was the only regiment to carry this pattern flag, while their sister units had 12 star flags at the time it was captured. What happened to the other flags of this pattern if as you state, Walker’s command had the flags, if you recall they were poorly equipped, flags would have been a luxury. Howard does not use the word “probably” in his narrative on the 46th’s flag.

On Ken’s list, it needs to be updated, 50% of his list is not accurate on this question of Charleston made flags.

Howard filed his flags by pattern, you and Ken should or may have noticed in your search of his files in PA that the 46th’s flag is not filed with the other flags from the Department of South Carolina, Georgia & Florida, thats a pretty strong statement, wouldn’t you say?
