.. I guess anything could be possible. Have noted that there were severe shortages of various fabric goods in the valley that varied over time. Complaints of idle workers in the clothing shop for want of materials at times.... Merchants begging for raw materials and fabrics in exchange for other on-hand goods..... Others shutting down due to inability to obtain any marketable goods to sell.... Yet a few other local commercial merchants advertizing and boasting of large stocks of freshly arrived blockade goods and quality assorted fabrics from England being available.... Im not sure if it could be an intentional purpose of using lesser goods... or just that what was used was the closest thing they could obtain available.

Since only a small quanity of flags of this type apparently made.... I would have to ponder that this was probably a one time deal... rather than an ongoing contractual arrangement with a maker...
