I could be making a mistake here, but according to Crute's units of the Confederate state army, Polk COunty had men in the 5th Florida. I went to Lakeland once and thought I saw bricks near a monument with names of soldiers from the 5th INfantry. IN the new book A small but Spartan band, Polk is not listed as having a companyy in the 5th. Someone help me out here.
