Mr. Hodge: Thank you very much for the GMI information on Col. Ruff. While Col Wofford commanded the Texas Brigade at Antietam, (then) Lt.Col. Ruff commanded the 18th Ga. in the Corn Field. My folks were in Co. A. At Ft. Sanders (Knoxville), Capt. Lyle Lemon, Co. A CO, was captured inside the works, and finished the war at Pt. Lookout. Col. Ruff was no doubt at the forefront. I wonder what his connection to Ruff's Mill, at Concord Road and Nickajack Creek, in Cobb County, might have been. Thanks aain for your help. Stan
