Private Otis G. Welch happened to have also been in McKittrick's Denton Rangers of Denton Co TX in May 1861.

Capt. Welch/Welsh is mentions four times in the 46-page record but his name is not in the listing of names of Well's Texas Regiment. ..There were four privates named Welch in the regiment that I have labeled "WellsGoodScandlandGillette" on my computer file, because that unit seemed to have had several commanders.
