Louisville was a major supply hub for both the Army of Ohio as well as the Army of the Cumberland. It also held POW's waiting transfer further north.I have a picture,I'm afraid only a copy ,of my GGGrandfather returning to the Army of the Cumberland at Murfreesboro,TN. in May of 1863.He is all decked out with a new Hat,uniform and sabor.
