I am looking for an ancestor, known to have lived in Chicot Pass, St. Martin's Parish in the 1850s till the civil war. He is said to have died serving in the confederacy. I can find nothing to verify any of this. His name was Lot Putnam Stanley. Any tips or ideas?

Thanks,
George Hall
