My name is Luis DESSOMMES, my great-great-grand-father was Honore DESSOMMES born abt 1826 in La Havana, Cuba and died February 22, 1878 in Matamoros Mexico.

He arrived to New Orleans in 1842 and became american citizen in 1852. He fought in the civil war and was part of the Guyol's Company, he was Capitain and Seargeant.

Unfortunately there is so little information on this Company, it is sad.
