Karen, I got it, Thanks. I still believe all Roberts can be traced to a single family but that is going back a long long way! For example my line came over with the French Huguenot migration but were themselves not of French descent. The family had migrated to France from Wales, I think only one, maybe two, generations previous to enjoy the religious freedom of the Edict of Nantes. My line was actually living in the Piedmont Valley in the St. Imier area of Switzerland when the decision to move to the new world was made.

As a wise little old lady told me earlier this year though I need to quit worrying about census records so much and simply enjoy the heritage I feel in my heart. Good luck with your research on Captain Roberts and the 7 Stars!
