Perhaps had Ewing and Lane been better soldiers all this unpleasantness would have been avoided. It seems that their type of actions became the rule instead of the exception.
I know that you yanks still think that the war was about slavery but in my opinion it was about money, and Lincoln was not the great liberator. He was one racist pig. (documentable and documented.)

Now, please enlighten us about "bleeding Kansas" but be very careful not to embarrass yourself with Yankee propaganda. ~Don
