Robert Oscar Greene, CSA

I am a member of UDC and a DAR registrar in AZ trying to help a prospective UDC member do her UDC application. Her CSA great grandfather, Robert Oscar Greene, was born in TN on May 23, 1842, married Susan Gwinn in 1868 in Saline Co., MO, served in a MO CSA unit, died in Phoenix, AZ in 1920, and was buried at the Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix where the 1910 census shows that he was a Confederate veteran.. UDC in Washington told her that they have no record of him and I can't find him on the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors website. Might you have any info on his service in MO? She was told that he was a POW at a prison in Illinois .

Thanks for any help,
Mary Anne Hammond
