Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I am using the online version. In frustration I even scanned the page in detail for the Warren County information.
Guess I need to go back and check it again or try a microfilm version.
I live in Warren County and have found the Briscoe farm skirmish fascinating and I am trying to learn as much as possible about it.
- For example, that James Wilson, an interesting person on his own, may have been there. Still trying to confirm that he could have been there. Wilson's relationship to Morsey and Morsey's daughter.
- Herman Nolte was Company F, Willson, Company G. McFaden was the Captain of Company F. Why would Wilson have joined the venture to Marthasville?
- How many Union Troopers were sent to Marthasville? Thirty might have been company strength. Twelve could have been a sergeant to command.
But Wilson would have had to volunteer to lead a detachment of Company F troopers.
- In a March9, 1862 dispatch Lt. Colonel Krekel said "There is a force yet under Henderson annoying the county of Lincoln and adjoining neighborhood, but I think I shall soon be able to dispose of him"
- No further mention is made in the "War of the Rebellion Official Records" of Henderson' his death or the Briscoe Farm skirmish.

Any help you can give me on this subject would be appreciated.
