I'll dig in my records but I know I've seen his aplication for a Confederate Pension. Ran accross it more than once. I admit that I too wonder why he applied as I've never been able to find any record of him serving. Could it be possible he applied for someone else, even though he applied in his name? One of the main Patty researchers was the first to point me to the aplication.
