Thanks so much, I've since found that the 93rd was absorbed in a home/railroad guard unit and thats where James served. I've also found his records at FOOTNOTE. His brother, Thomas Charles Land ( 1st cousins to my gr,gr,grandfather David Land of the 13th N.C.Inf.) began as a private in the 1st N.C.Inf ( almost killed at Malvern Hill )and ended a Lt. in Co.K of the 53rd Inf. He was in over 65 battles. James must have had some " political Pull " Ha Ha !!!! Thanks again and God Bless.
