I have to agree with you. There are a lot of things about this old world that are way beyond our understanding and ability to explain. And I am NOT discounting the presence of something like spirits. But, just exactly what they are is, I believe, beyond our present comprehension.

The Bible speaks in several cases of Angels in both spirit and bodily forms. Of spirits coming back from the "dead" such as Moses reappearing in the garden with Jesus. Even of a witch calling up the spirit of the phophet Samuel for old King Saul to talk to.

The Bible also speaks of this war between Good and Evil being a war between Powers and Principalities and Spirits. We know that Jesus cast out Demons that had names like Legion.

Now we may not be able to measure all of that with EMP machines, IR cameras, and tape recorders. But I have to wonder just exactly what is going on?

Are there really spirits as many people claim roaming these battlefields and other places also? Do people leave an entergy behind when they die? I DON'T KNOW!

But the Bible says that if you are a Christian, to be absence from the body is to be present with the Lord. And the majority of the stories of encounters with poltergist relate the poltergist as wandering, or searching, like they were lost or begging, or doing mean tricks. These do not sound like things which would be of a heavenly influence.
