I understand what you are saying and appreciate your views. I used New York because I believe the person asking "why" said they were from New York. I could be wrong since I read about a weeks worth of posting in one sitting.

Now I'll admit what I post was not factual and just a bunch of crap, but it is the same sort of thing I deal with on a daily basis in defending my Confederate ancestry. One lie I am dealing with now is "Forrest killed hundreds of black women and children at Fort Pillow" What??? I am not sure if one woman or child died at Fort Pillow.

To be honest I could have added a bunch more but did not. Anyway I was hoping this person would read my post, get his dander up a bit and call it just what it is, crap, and I would admit it was that. That way I would know he would finally understands why we keep fighting the war. Truth factual truth is what we are trying to get acknowledged.

I know on the average most people north and South will get along just fine, but when you add a board such as this, well things seem to change. Seems like both sides (me included) want to get in their shots at one another, never fully understanding there are bigger fish to fry.

BTW I have heard there are so many Mississippians in new York they have a Mississippi Day in the park. Is that true?
