As to serving in the WBTS. No close relative of mine served with the Union, at least that I know of . Grandfathers,uncles, 1st and 2nd cousins over 35 served the CSA. One grandfather was only 14 years old when he joined the 24th Miss. Cav.

Anyway it is not my style to run down your ancestors. I know you think just as muchof your grandfather as I do mine, and why shouldn't you? Because they wore different uniforms doen't make them any less brave or honorable.

To the very best of my knowledge Lincoln did not own any slaves. I gotta side with you there. I have yet to read one solid reference state Lincoln himself owned any. I will however wait for your reserach to come in for the final say-so.
