To the Army's credit, they have recognized that problem. They created the Combat Action Badge. Knowing that so many support troops were engaging enemy forces but not eligible for the CIB because of their MOS. Mississippi's largest National Guard unit the 155th Armored Brigade deployed to Iraq in 2004. I see a good many of them as patients and man that CIB sure looks good on them.
