I could probably follow yours and Bryan suggestion, but not with this software. I'd have to use something like the DC Forum software we tried some time back and folks were generally negative or luke warm about it. I don't mean to make anyone paranoid, but we've got several folks, who post under aliases or multiple names on the message boards, including this one.
The only thing I can really know is the working email address of our contributors. I could require registration and the use of a password that I supply to the registrants email address. I'd also have to eliminate those email addresses with services like hotmail, yahoo and others that allow anonymous or unverified registration. It would definitely have an effect on participation.
