Chief Boring: Well I sure am sorry you missed it, it would have made you take your Brown Bess down from over the fireplace. As you know by now, it made me so angry I found your number and called your home. I'm glad she had the good sense to apologize to you. I will take her apologizing to you as finality to the "incident".
I see that you refer to Bryan as Commander, that makes him an O-5 also. So, to you Commander Howerton, I relinquish command of the Merry Men (and women). As a medical corps officer, I am not allowed to command line troops or I give up my non-combatant status and my Geneva Conventions protection under LOAC (Law of Armed Conflict) Which I was prepared to do, but since you are a line officer, I submit myself to your orders. This is ACW related, because they were soooooo rank conscious that it often interferred with combat operations. Just trying to provide context to that fact of that war.
I hope you all know that this is in jest and I don't consider myself in command of anything, that would be pretty megalomaniacal of me. John
