Am surprised the Japanese and Germans haven't sued us for "wrongful death" of all their soldiers in WW2. As nutty as we've become in recent years in suffering fools at home and abroad, I wouldn't be surprised if we settled those claims.
Of course, in a legal environment in which you can be sued by a burglar who injures himself breaking into your house. Well, today it doesn't seem so far fetched that Confederate veterans should have gotten pensions from the govt they tried and failed to destroy. After all they were only American soldiers too. And to discriminate against diversity of loyalties seems rather intolerant actually.
