Chase I agree with a lot you have posted, however I still say and I believe we could put our heads together and see that the North took more deliberate action against the population of the South than what was necessary. I can mention several myself like the Jews being expelled from Tennesse was it? Prayer being ordered for Lincoln, murder and rape on Shermans march, and wasn't it the Lincoln who told one of his generals " do something useful, burn a town"
By the way in the St. Albans raid didn't 3 people die?
Now as for soldiers fighting with no quater being asked or given, is there a better way? I mean that is what I would expect.
