Kevin and T. R.,

To me, the posting just represents the inhumanity and cruelty of the war and the distrusting attitudes of one side for the other. I don't think I view such postings as "our side" or "their side". I don't know Mr. "T.R.'s" motives, perhaps he could explain. I'm sure there were such stories in Union newspapers about Confederate diabolical inventions and whether true or false ,they have some historical value in understanding the attitudes of the period, if nothing else.
