You place me in a quandary. This site is not a proper location for the discussion of the rights and wrongs of the abortion issue. However, the current abortion issue, in my opinion, has many similarities to the opposing positions in the abolition issue of the 1860's and before. If we can keep the discussion of these issues to the points of similarity politically, legally, writings, rhetoric, etc., I can let the posting and the resulting thread stand. If this becomes a discussion of the rights and wrong of abortion from a religious, secular or moral point of view, then I'll have to remove the postings. We're not here to discuss a current, non-Civil War related topic; however, we can discuss current topics and their similarities or how they are analogous to Civil War and nineteenth century events.
