Frank, you've put me on the horns of a dilemma :-)....if you speak of Independence meaning a form of democracy and rule of law, yes that's a great thing...but here's the part some won't agree with...our Anglo-American traditions of common law, rights of man, a parliamentary government...I don't necessarily say Republic or Democracy...have been centuries in the development. It seems we spend time trying to foster these ideals on folks who quite frankly don't want them and don't even want to try to implement them. And I mean the common man, not just the rulers... I believe our system ,or it's ideal, I should say, is the best going. But quite frankly there are many the world over who don't...due to their religion or social upbringing...we should remember...we are not the world...to paraphrase.
