Hey Steve, sorry to hear about the damage. I know you guys over in Avoyelles got popped pretty hard. I hear the Bunkie substation for CLECO was/is a mess. We got power back about an hour ago. I haven't seen much news but can report that two people got killed over in Mamou from the tornado that touched down there. That's only about 15 minutes from me. The National Guard was shot at today in Ville Platte and they shot back. Hurrah for the Guard!!! The shooters were caught and arrested. I was told it happened at the old Winn-Dixie building. What kind of Godless heathen shoots at somebody trying to help them?

We should finish our cleanup tomorrow. No damage to my property at all. God was very kind to me and mine. A few limbs, some raking, a few passes with the lawnmower and it will be good as new.

P.S. to all ___ Talked with Virgil Roberts tonight and they got power again tonight also. They are all fine. For the record... George & Elaine Purvis wanted to drive all the way from Biloxi to bring us whatever we needed. With friends like that a man is truly blessed.
