I think we can thank the Lord for mercies in regards to this storm. I was awakened at 2:30 a.m. by the sound of the rain beating on my bedroom windows. As I type this I am at work at 9:15 a.m. and it is really raining with lots of wind. Wind at about 30 knots with gusts. Visability is less than one mile and we have fog. I just checked our radar and it seems that the remanants stretch from Cairo on the south to Chicago on the north (about 375 miles in length) and from the Mississippi on the west to just across the Indiana border on the east. I don't know the total rainfall yet, but, on my way to work this morning most of the ditches were full and the creek that I cross is almost ready to overflow.
