I've got on my football helmet and my wife is under a pile of quilts and blankets in the interior laundry room. ;-) The dog is hiding under the couch, so I think we're ready. Honestly, we're just making sure nothing is loose out in the yard or on the patio and we're hoping this thing doesn't strengthen and that it will stay just a little bit west of us. Currently, they're forecasting sustained winds for my area of forty to sixty mph with gusts of 75 mph or higher. On another local TV station site, they're predicting sustained winds at 100 mph for the area where I live. If nothing changes, I would imagine it will be somewhere in between. We were on the edge of Rita, but this thing might be quite a bit stronger. It's supposed to make landfall late tomorrow or early morning Saturday. Say a little prayer for us. I think it's gonna' be a long night. If I go offline for a while, I'll try to contact someone who can post our situation.
