Jim, its not the eye you worry about, its the wind and flying objects on either side. Of course, the wind changes the angle of attack on the back side, so that is at least exciting, as you have to dodge flak from another direction. I've done it in Cuba, tied to an AC unit on the hangar roof. My only excuse is I was 19 at the time, and a Southerner. ("Hey, watch this!" Or "I wonder what would happen if we...") I got some good film, though.
