Hey Jim! I'm sittin' pretty over here. Some folks off the main roads still don't have power but everybody has opened up their homes so they can have hot showers, a cool place to sleep and hot meals to eat etc. MRE's are the main dish at many houses still. (Love that flat wheatbread they sometimes have). That's probably because Uncle Sam is giving them away by the truckload LOL! Generators are available to just about everyone.

We still have trees falling though. The repair crews are so fast though that the outage time on the electrical and phone services are not even worth mentioning. My son enjoyed being out of school until today when classes resumed. All good things must come to an end, right?

You know if old Ike does turn your way you can always head this direction. However, if you bring a few thousand refugees with you please ask them not to hold a grudge over how our own refugees acted at the Astrodome :-)
