It's almost like these machines that have seen so much human courage and sacrifice take on that spirit and have a life of their own. I ain't superstitious, but it seems like there's really something there.

I felt that "something" when I walked the flight and hanger decks of the "Lady Lex" in Corpus last year. There was "something;" you could feel it, Mike.

Hope she survives Ike this weekend, and comes through in good working order - After Tarawa to the Phillipines, it would be a shame if some guy named "Ike" got the best of her.
