Thank you for that find article,Cump. Those boys were the "military/industrial complex" of their day. The domestic traders would be the ones that Grant refered to as "Jews". John Beauchamp Jones refered to them as "Jews" as well. I don't really think they were Jewish but the term was just used in a derogatory sense to describe people with low scruples. My dear mother used to refer to them as shylocks. Today, I would say that we see them on Wall Street and in the banking community and maybe in the board rooms in Detroit or in the Governors Mansion here in Springfield. :) I saved that article so that I can soak it up.
